Gyspy d' Usance startte met Maurice Stevens in het L en in het M en beide parcoursen waren foutloos. Espoir d' Usance werd gestart in het 1.30m en 1.35m . In beide parcoursen toucheerde Espoir d' Usance een balk heel licht en die viel prompt op de grond, 4 fout dus.

May 29, 2016 At Bicton on day three, Emma Slater claimed a double victory, taking the top-billed area trial and the B and C. She topped the area trial with Mark Haines’ Kigali/Mermus R 11-year-old Art D Usance to claim the £1,000 first prize. Also jumping double clear for second was Justin Tuff on Jancey Wembridge’s home-bred Man From Del Monte, A Cobra/Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve nine-year-old and a former ride of Emma’s. Ben Bick took third on the Zip Phin eight-year-old Zipiro with Jane Annett and her Welsh Masters Ladies winner Pallas Masterclass in fourth and Alice Watson on Billy Lemon in fifth. In the B and C, Emma and the Couleur Rubin 10-year-old Crack Van Overis Z secured victory over second-placed Louise Lewis on Abbeygate Lulou. Taisy de Gruchy has enjoyed success abroad at Oliva, Nova, Valencia, recently, and returned to Britain to take the 1.30m aboard the Belgian-bred nine-year-old Winner of Picobello Z, beating two speed merchants to take victory. Mark Edwards and Unbelievable Eddie took second with Julian Mincher on Risk It in third. Sophie Fawcett and Quite Cadiz clamed fourth and Liz Forrester on Belucci was fifth. Mark was a winner in the British novice on Harleys Dream from Brook Whetter and Northcountry Lady Tabitha. Rachel Davies and Don’t Touch won the 1.20m from Rebecca Mason and her consistent Miserden Imprezza. And Susannah Jeffery clinched victory in the Foxhunter on the Irish nine-year-old Fays Choice with Abi Walters and Perfick Miss Amber in second. Stephen Mercer took first and third in the Connollys Red Mills newcomers with the Chacco Blue/Quidam De Revel six-year-old Chidam and the Cornado seven-year-old Coraquina Z, sandwiching Justine Walters and Simply Sid into second. Johnathan Bowman, already a winner earlier in the week on Pennvard, claimed the 1.20m from Charmaine James and Birchills Jemima Puddle Duck. Rachel Vicary was third here on Sparkling Indulgence, and also took first and third in the 90cm on Spirits Way and La Petite Carnavelle. Shelley Alexander topped the Nupafeed Supplements discovery on Jiashuan Clover with Adrian Whiteway and Miss Petty Cash in second. Laura Davies headed the 1m open with Bolgoednewydd Toy Faere from Millie Cornock and Ippolito Figlio Di Bentley and Hayley Webster pushed Pedro VIII into the top spot of the 1.05m. Charlotte Radley and Little M took second. Sam Wall took the five-year-old style prize on the Hales family’s home-bred SFS Harriet, by Arko’s Boy and out of a Cartano mare, and James Emblen was a winner in the 1.15m on Losebys Sawasdee Hi. Gefeliciteerd amazone Emma Slater en eigenaar Mark Haines.
Vanacht om 03.00 uur is onze Cini voor het eerst moeder geworden. Een hengstveulen van de hengst Geniaal (Vivaldi x Biotop x Ferro) .  Op CH Marum kwamen mijn fokprodukten Gypsy d' Usance (eig. fam Stevens) en onze Espoir d' Usance aan de start. In het klassiek parcours klasse M ging Gypsy heel mooi rond maar had helaas 1 balk. In het progressief kwam Gypsy niet geheel mooi voor de laaste hindernis en Maurice Stevens reed daarom een volte. Gelukkkig is het opleiden van dit jonge paard belangrijker voor de ruiter dan de prijzenjacht. Espoir d' Usance ging supermooi foutloos rond in het Z. In de barage reed Maurice Stevens met hem verreweg de snelste tijd (3 seconden sneller dan de winnaar) maar dat koste helaas 2 fouten. Een vijfde prijs was het resultaat. Het progressief ging net zo goed, ook foutloos en ze werden ook nu weer vijfde. Met deze prestatie mocht Espoir d' Usance mee doen in de Grote Prijs van Marum. Helaas tikte hij de eerste hindernis er af, maar verder ging ie super rond. Maurice was zeer goed te spreken.   Het was wat glad op het grasparcours van CH Eext. Dat weerhield ruiter Maurice Stevens er niet van snel te rijden. Helaas maakte hij 1 afstandsfout en Espoir kon dat niet verhelpen. Resultaat 4 fout en de snelste tijd, goed voor de zevende prijs. Het tweede parcours was een beetje het zelfde verhaal. 8 fout en de snelste tijd, nu helaas niet in de prijzen.
Tijdens de wekelijkse trainingsparcoursen in Tolbert op donderdagavond startte Maurice Stevens Espoir d' Usance in het 1.30m en het 1.35m . Foutloos in het 1.30m en 1 fout in het 1.35m was het resultaat. Maurice was super tevreden .
Het was in september 2015 dat Zombra voor het laatst op concours was. Ze heeft wat gekwakkeld afgelopen winter, maar we zijn inmiddels al weer een aantal weken flink aan het trainen geweest. Vandaag startten we op CH Roden in het Z2. Het was prachtig mooi weer. Afgelopen maandagavond zijn we naar de les geweest. Instructrice Laura Zwart was zeer tevreden, Zombra liep heel fijn. Nu was het zaak dat in de proef ook te tonen. In de eerste proef was Zombra overgeconcentreerd en dat resulteerde in een grote fout en wat slordigheden, maar de proef was toch goed genoeg voor 204 punten en dus een winstpunt. De tweede proef ging superfijn en dat leverde de mooie score van 215 punten op. Kortom, ik was top tevreden.
